Elsevier launches new Gray’s Anatomy app for iPad
Elsevier has announced the launch of a new iPad application providing access to content from Gray's Anatomy for Students.
The app is designed to offer information from the second edition of the highly recommended anatomical textbook, with more than 1,000 illustrations and detailed information on terminology, positioning and function.
It includes complete text and full-colour high-definition visual content, as well as scrollable thumbnails, a convenient search index and a mark and label function, allowing users to bookmark and retrieve pages.
Dr Richard Blake, co-author of Gray's Anatomy for Students, Second Edition, said this app has been launched in response to the growing popularity of the iPad as a study and research tool.
"Through a digital, simple version, this app will give students access to anatomical terminology anytime and anywhere," he added.
The publisher has also launched an iOS app with content from the Braunwald's Heart Disease textbook in the past week.
