Elsevier launches SciVal Funding App for SciVerse

8th November 2011

Elsevier has announced the launch of the SciVal Funding App, a new SciVerse application that makes it easier for researchers to access funding opportunities.

The new app links content from SciVerse ScienceDirect and SciVerse Scopus to the SciVal Funding online solution, which offers targeted recommendations on grants based on analysis of abstracts.

Up to five relevant funding offers will be provided for each abstract, with Elsevier Fingerprint Engine technology utilised to match the opportunities.

This latest launch coincides with the expansion of SciVal Funding availability to Ireland and Australia, while more than 1,400 funding bodies have been added to its database this year alone.

Niels Weertman, vice-president for SciVal at Elsevier, said: "We continuously work on finding new ways to help researchers discover a maximum amount of international funding opportunities in the most practical way."

Earlier this month, the company announced the early availability of its 2012 eBook Frontlist collection via the SciVerse ScienceDirect online platform.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800789606-ADNFCR
