Elsevier to launch venous and lymphatic health journal

Elsevier is allying with the Society for Vascular Surgery to introduce a new journal focusing on venous and lymphatic health issues.

The Journal of Vascular Surgery: Venous and Lymphatic Disorders will be a quarterly publication and is set to debut in January 2013, focusing on all aspects of venous disease, lymphatic disease and wound care, with a special emphasis on practising clinicians.

It will feature high-quality clinical and basic scientific research, case reports, venous images, techniques, review articles and practice management manuscripts, as well as a distinguished international editorial board.

Elsevier already works with the Society for Vascular Surgery to produce the standard Journal of Vascular Surgery.

Dr Richard Cambria, president of the Society for Vascular Surgery, said: "We are extremely pleased to be working with Elsevier to publish a new peer-reviewed journal specifically designed to promote venous and lymphatic health."

Last month, the publisher was presented with the 2012 ASAE Gold Circle Award for its work on the Journal of Urology, the official journal of the American Urological Association.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801382030-ADNFCR
