Emotive appoints expert to its new advanced therapies business unit

A lot of emotive’s work is now in rare and ultra-rare disorders, where advanced therapies play an important part in treatment protocols. The company is currently preparing for the global launch of one of the earliest gene therapies, and is also developing HCP engagement on gene silencing technology and educating on cell therapies such as CAR-T. emotive has set up a new business unit to provide core expertise in this highly specialised field, and have appointed Dr Germano Ferrari to run it. Dr Ferrari has previously worked in research, medical affairs and commercial roles in biopharma and diagnostics, most recently as a programme manager at Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult where he helped develop commercialisation pathways for several pre-clinical advanced therapy medicinal products.
