Eppendorf expands epMotion automated pipetting system range

Eppendorf has expanded its established epMotion range of automated pipetting systems with the addition of seven new models.

Its new epMotion 5070 and epMotion 5075 systems have been designed for effective automated liquid handling applications and feature accelerated operational speeds, new software and hardware features and an increased number of worktable positions.

The five larger epMotion 5075 models can be ordered with the CleanCap option – with a UV lamp for decontamination and a HEPA filter for air purification – while the smaller epMotion 5070 and 5070f are available with automatic tool exchange and reusable tip capabilities.

Of this new assortment, the epMotion 5075m is billed as the most flexible member of the epMotion family, thanks to its large number of deck positions and its mixing, temperature control and magnetic bead separation abilities.

Other features of the new range include their Eppendorf EasyCon and MultiCon controllers, which work with touch, mouse or keyboard, and an improved version of the well-established epBlue software.

This comes after the firm announced earlier this week that all single-use vessels within its bioprocessing product lines are to be sold under the new brand name BioBLU.
