Eppendorf has made a strategic investment in BignOmics Analytics SA

Eppendorf, a leading life science company that develops and sells consumables, instruments and services for liquid, has made a strategic investment in a software company from Switzerland, BignOmics Analytics SA, that creates digital cloud-based self-service tools to analyse molecular biology research data.

The investment was carried out by Eppendor’s interface to innovate start-ups, the Eppendorf Innovation Company (EpIC). EpIC identifies and successfully implements promising partnerships and novel business models for Eppendorf. EpIC works closely with the very active worldwide start-up scene in the life science and biotechnology sectors to achieve this goal. Liquid biopsy, new techniques to sample preparation for multi-omics, and digital solutions for enhancing laboratory processes are all part of EpIC’s scope.
