Ferno to raise funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance

11th October 2010

Ferno has announced plans to offer financial support and other contributions in order to help the charity group Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The medical technology firm has selected the UK organisation as its designated charity for 2010-11, with a number of fundraising activities set to be organised throughout the year commencing in October 2010.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance provides emergency response services to five million people across Yorkshire, providing medical interventions which can play a crucial role in saving lives.

It is estimated that the charity needs to raise 7,200 pounds daily in order to ensure that both of its air ambulances are properly maintained and operational at all times.

This news comes as Ferno prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary in June 2011, with the charity initiative having been organised "in recognition of this significant anniversary".

Last month, Ferno received praise from a number of its NHS clients for its work in creating a new balloon pump critical care transfer trolley to meet healthcare needs.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800108886-ADNFCR
