Fishawack announces takeover of medical comms firm Facilitate

7th July 2014

Fishawack has announced the acquisition of Facilitate, a Brighton-based medical communications specialist established in 2002.

The full-service medical communications agency offers a unique independent global leadership board offering, providing detailed daily content analysis by expert physicians at key medical congresses.

Primarily serving global pharmaceutical clients based in the US and Europe, Facilitate has collaborated with Fishawack in the last six months and will now be integrated into the group, taking the new name Fishawack-Facilitate.

This comes as part of a wider ongoing buy-and-build strategy that has seen Fishawack agree three acquisition deals in the last 12 months.

Its takeover and integration of Swiss agency Archimed was completed last month and followed the announcement of a deal to purchase US-based JK Associates in March this year.

Gail Flockhart, group managing director of Fishawack, said: "Facilitate joining the group brings our global team to over 240 staff, a significant size for an independent organisation in the medical communications sector."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801733627-ADNFCR
