Fleishman-Hillard appoints new managing director

Fleishman-Hillard has announced the appointment of Richard Kanareck as the new managing director for its London office.

Mr Kanareck is the former communications director for eBay Europe and has been working in senior communications roles for 15 years, offering expertise in consumer, corporate and digital advertising.

In addition to helping position eBay as one of the internet's leading brands, he has also previously served in roles for Intel, MSN and Nokia and will now assist Fleishman-Hillard in improving its digital service offerings.

Kevin Bell, regional president for the UK, Africa and the Middle East, said the appointment of Mr Kanareck will be a boon to its healthcare and public affairs teams, as well as to the London office as a whole.

He added: "He joins us at an exciting time, as we continue to build our digital capability and our strengths in tech, corporate and consumer communications."

Last month, the agency was honoured with six Awards of Excellence at the 2010 Edward L Bernays awards, presented by the Public Relations Society of America.
