Flow announces a 247% upsurge in sales of its at-home depression treatment

15th December 2020

Flow, a medical device company, has announced a two-hundred and forty-seven per cent upsurge in sales of its at-home brain stimulation headset treatment, for depression, with thirty per cent of its users overcoming depression through the pandemic.

By wearing the Flow headset at home, which stimulates parts of the brain, patients can control their depression. In addition, users can communicate with the Flow behavioural therapy app, which strengthens areas that are known to affect diet and sleep.

The headset, accepted in the EU and UK, has helped in several ways to handle and cure depression, with thirty per cent of users claiming they have overcome depression.

Daniel Mansson, Clinical psychologist and Flow co-founder, stated: “Huge social and economic uncertainty associated with COVID-19 may have a profound and long-lasting effect on mental health. As healthcare systems strain to support an increase in mental health conditions during the pandemic, and with fewer people going to their GP for help with their mental health , access to effective, at-home treatment for depression has never been more important. During the pandemic our clear treatment pathway empowers those most vulnerable to depression to self-manage their condition with an effective, drug-free treatment from the comfort of their home.”
