Founding director of Cicero, Jeremy Swan, is leaving after more than 2 decades

14th December 2021

Jeremy Swan was a founding director of the business previously known as Cicero during its infancy in 2000, becoming CEO of this business just 2 years later. This means he has dedicated 22 years of his working life to leading the agency. Prior to this, Swan worked at Citibank for over a decade.

Executive chairperson Cicero, Iain Anderson, claims the reason for his leaving is to engage with his own initiatives.

Mr. Swan most recently worked part-time at Cicero/AMO for around two days per week. While his position will not be filled, members of senior leadership- Iain Anderson, executive director Mark Twigg, and chief operating officer Judith Becker, will work together to lead the organisation.

In the beginning months of 2020, prior to the Covid 19 pandemic restrictions coming into play, Havas purchased a controlling interest in Cicero. Subsequently, it changed its name to Cicero/AMO to highlight its affiliation with the Havas AMO global strategic advisory network. Lat year, the business was predicted to have over £6 million in revenue.

Iain Anderson, executive chair at Cicero, said that “We’ve had a record financial year and he has just decided now is the time to move on. He leaves us with a lot of affection and his contribution has been incalculable.”
