FTI hired for Circassia Pharmacueticals IPO

FTI Consulting has been hired by Circassia Pharmaceuticals ahead of the company's forthcoming initial public offering (IPO), it has been announced today (March 20th).

The firm will continue to work alongside the speciality biopharmaceutical organisation following the float, handling its financial and corporate communications.

Analysts expect the forthcoming IPO to be the largest biotech debut on the London stock market for more than a decade.

With a top of the range price of 310 pence per share, the listing values the company at around £510 million. According to figures held by the London Stock Exchange, this would make it the largest firm of its type listed in the capital.

Before costs, Circassia has raised around £200 million as part of the share sale and intends to use the funds to bring its allergy immunotherapy platform to market. The firm is currently conducting phase III trials of a product designed to alleviate cat allergy.
