Fuji Photo Film announces underwater photo festival

Fuji Photo Film has announced its first underwater photo festival, which will be held in Cornwall during September.

The event, due to be called ScubaSnap, is taking place in association with local diver company Looe Divers and will include photographic tuition, shore diving and a number of seminars from sector experts such as Mat Trim from Fujifilm.

“ScubaSnap Weekend 2009 is open to divers of all levels, but if diving doesn’t appeal then snorkellers can take part, too,” the Fuki Photo Film asserts, noting that the only rule is that all photographs must be taken using a compact camera.

A number of exhibitors and sponsors will be presenting at the event, which is set to take place between September 12th and 13th, including Scuba Travel Worldwide Holidays, Aqua Lung, Suunto and Padi.

In recent weeks, Fuji Photo Film announced that its FinePix F200EXR camera and Super CCD EXR sensor won a number of accolades at the 2009 Technical Image Press Association awards.
