Future Science Group hails success of Bioanalysis journal in last year

25th July 2011

Future Science Group has highlighted the improving profile enjoyed by its journal Bioanalysis in the last year.

Originally launched in 2009, the publication expanded from nine to 12 issues in its second year on release, while the number of research articles and editorials more than doubled.

It was also able to achieve an initial impact factor – which represents the average number of times the journal's articles were cited – of 1.337 during the year.

According to the publisher, these figures demonstrate the high-quality research and discussion Bioanalysis is providing for those in the life science sector, as well as its success in filling a market niche.

Senior editor Brian Booth, a deputy director at the US Food and Drug Administration, said: "Overall, I found that all of the articles published in 2010 were interesting and informative."

According to the Thomson Reuters' 2010 Journal Citation Report published earlier this month, the publisher's Future Medicine, Future Science and Expert Reviews imprints all saw improved impact factors last year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800632758-ADNFCR
