Future Science Group journals experience impact factor growth

5th July 2011

Future Science Group journals have become more widely cited by academic researchers in the last year, according to a new report.

Analysis of impact factors – which represents the number of times an article has been cited during a year – in Thomson Reuters' 2010 Journal Citation Report has shown improved performances across the Future Medicine, Future Science and Expert Reviews imprints.

The publisher's Expert Review of Molecular Diagnostics publication saw its average impact factor rise from 3.693 to 4.652 between 2009 and 2010, while Expert Review of Proteomics and Regenerative Medicine also performed well.

In all, six Expert Review titles and eight Future Medicine publications saw improvements to their impact factors.

Elisa Manzotti, editorial director of Future Science Group, said this is "a huge credit to the Editorial Advisory Boards and our in-house team, together with the many authors and referees who are committed to these titles".

Last week, it was announced that Future Science Group's journal Therapeutic Delivery has been accepted for Chemical Abstracts Service coverage, which will help to expand its readership.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800611716-ADNFCR
