GCI Health launches medical education function with new hire
GCI Health is launching a new medical education function, a move that will expand the range of services it is able to offer clients.
Cally Clarkson, who can boast more than 15 years of experience in medical comms, has joined the agency from ApotheCom ScopeMedical to lead the new business, becoming GCI Health's first director of medical education.
She spent three years as client services director at ApotheCom ScopeMedical and has held prior leadership roles at HealthEd, Delta Kn and TVF Communications. She will now be part of GCI's European leadership team, based at its London office.
Ms Clarkson said the agency's rapid European expansion and reputation for client service excellence were key motivators in her decision to join.
Wendy Lund, chief executive officer of GCI Health, said the priority of the new initiative will be "designing and delivering a new integrated approach for clients that enables effective and aligned communications with stakeholders across the product lifecycle".
The firm experienced record growth in 2014, during which it recorded a number of key business wins and doubled the size of its London office.
