GE Healthcare and Argent ally to enhance Omnyx digital pathology services
GE Healthcare has announced a new memorandum of understanding with Argent Global Services to help improve the digital pathology services offered by its Omnyx business.
Through this deal, Omnyx will leverage Argent's two decades of consulting expertise to add a range of pilot offerings into its consulting portfolio, including operations improvement, organisational change management for digital pathology and performance assessment and benchmarking.
Omnyx is the digital pathology joint venture between the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and GE Healthcare, which is known for developing the Omnyx IDP solution.
By allying with process engineering and management consulting firm Argent, GE Healthcare hopes to provide hospitals and academic research facilities with new solutions that enhance workflow efficiency and enable seamless transition for adopting digital technologies in pathology labs.
Mamar Gelaye, chief executive officer of Omnyx, said: "Collaborating with industry leaders, like Argent, allows us to strengthen our offering in each of these aspects, and is additional proof of our commitment to transform this critical field."
