GE Healthcare boasts ‘best in class’ anaesthesia software

GE Healthcare's anaesthesia software has been declared 'best in class' following a recent study from researchers KLAS.

In the new KLAS Alert 1 report, analysts gave GE's Centricity Perioperative Anesthesia solution 87.5 points for improvements to the quality of patient care, ease-of-use and return on investment for healthcare providers.

This was four points ahead of the second highest-ranked anaesthesia information management system (AIMS) supplier.

Furthermore, healthcare providers on average gave GE a score of eight out of nine when asked whether or not they felt they had received their money's worth from the Centricity solution.

On executive told KLAS the company's AIMS development priorities "seem to be genuinely driven by physician interests", rather than business concerns or financial gains.

"We believe Centricity Perioperative Anesthesia has helped us elevate the standard of care we can provide our patients," the customer continued, citing checklists, intelligent prompts and automated notifications as some of the product's top features.
