GE Healthcare launches Nemeto Dual Shot CT Injector

GE Healthcare has announced the launch of the Nemoto Dual Shot CT Injector, its latest CT line product and one brought to market as part of its partnership with Nemoto, a firm previously recognised with a Good Design Award.

Featuring a novel syringe design and two-step anatomical protocol set-up to aid the process of patient preparation, the injector also includes saline injection and simultaneous contrast features.

Saline flush and the simultaneous contrast features aim to improve the scanner efficiency and clinical benefits of the product, while the injector also includes a basic LCD interface and ergonomically designed head with an incorporated heater to protect against external shocks.

Scott Trevino, global product manager for GE Healthcare, said: “Nemoto has a strong record of dependability and responsiveness to customer feedback and needs and their CT injector is used throughout the demanding markets of Japan, Asia and Europe with over 2,000 injectors installed globally.”

He added that GE customer feedback is included in the design process for the Nemoto CT injector, with an attempt to improve the workflow with the LightSpeed VCT scanners.

Last month, GE Healthcare announced the launch of a series of new products to its nucleaic acid purification and amplification line, with these goods to be marketed under the illustra name.
