GE HealthCare Launches Ultrasound Device Vscan Air SL
Vscan Air SL, a portable, wireless ultrasound imaging device created for quick cardiac and vascular evaluations at the point of care, has been introduced by GE HealthCare to assist physicians in expediting illness identification and treatment.
Featuring revolutionary single crystal transducer technology, the Vscan Air SL uses GE HealthCare’s SignalMax and XDclear innovations to deliver exceptional levels of penetration, clarity, and sensitivity in imaging capabilities.
Physicians may quickly gather and examine high-quality cardiac and vascular visuals using the Vscan Air SL at the point of treatment. When timely performance is essential, physicians may speed up care choices to assist patients in quickly obtaining treatment plans by simplifying these workflows while preventing added burdens on conventional imaging resources.
“Having ever more powerful handheld ultrasound is a game changer for patient care,” said Guy Lloyd, M.D., FRCP, consultant cardiologist at Barts Heart Center, University College London Hospitals and clinical director for Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Investigations.
“Vscan Air SL enables clinicians to make quick cardiac assessments and adds to our broad portfolio of ultrasound technologies to help further inform clinical decision making at the point of care,” said Dietmar Seifriedsberger, Global General Manager, Point of Care and Handheld Ultrasound at GE HealthCare.
