Gilead and Tentarix Partner to Develop Treatment for Cancer
Gilead Sciences stated that it had reached a deal with privately owned Tentarix Biotherapeutics to create treatments for aggressive and cancerous conditions.
According to the firms, Gilead will give Tentarix initial funding worth $66 million. Gilead can also purchase as many as three of Tentarix’s divisions for a total of $240 million
According to the agreement, Gilead will be granted usage of Tentarix’s drug discovery network treatments. These target cells that protect against harmful diseases without triggering additional immune cells that could cause unfavorable side effects.
Gilead reported that its research and development expenses had increased over 25 percent as a result of arrangements it made to broaden its research outside HIV drugs, which were its main source of income.
