Golin wins new Design and Technology Association brief
Golin has been handed a new brief by the Design and Technology Association to help promote and protect investment in design and technology in schools.
The agency will launch a UK media and stakeholder relations campaign, highlighting the importance of design and technology in primary and secondary school education. Activity will be aimed at headteachers, teachers and other professionals, reports Gorkana.
Specifically, Golin will work to demonstrate how these educational disciplines can help ensure students leave school with the design, technical and practical skills they need.
Its approach will align with that of the Design and Technology Association, which aims to reshape the National Curriculum by highlighting demand for these skills among modern UK employers.
Elizabeth Littlewood, head of technology at Golin, said: "It should be concerning to all of us that the subject remains on the endangered list and at times is both chronically undervalued and widely misunderstood."
Golin is the new name for GolinHarris, which is adopting the new identity as part of a strategic global rebranding exercise.
