GSK chief financial officer to retire
GlaxoSmithKline announces that Simon Dingemans, their chief financial officer, will leave in May next year. Joining GSK in 2011 from Goldman Sachs, Simon has ‘played a significant role’ in steering GSK through two major deals, and has contributed to assisting chief executive Emma Walmsley in modelling a new strategy for the firm.
Commenting on his forthcoming departure, Simon said “With the new strategy set, we have established strong foundations to deliver improved business and financial performance and I believe now is the right time for me to take this decision”
