Halesway wins gold for self-promotion at W3 Awards

Halesway was the only European company to win gold in the self promotion category at this year's W3 Awards.

The firm beat off stiff competition from a raft of other firms to receive the prize earlier this month.

Writing on the Halesway blog, the company's digital strategist Ekta Jain said: "This year we are thrilled to be the only European company to win gold for self promotion."

Ms Jain added that the award was particularly gratifying because Halesway was competing against consumer-focused organisations, not just companies operating in the healthcare sector.

"We are proud to be one of the few agencies worldwide to help set the bar," she concluded.

Other gold winners at the W3 Awards – which recognise the hard work of marketing professionals and those in the creative industries who are responsible for the internet's best websites – included Airtype Studio, Bailey Brand Consulting, RedSquare Agency and Mightybytes.

The invitation-only event is judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts and small companies are just as likely to win as big firms.
