Hallmarq Debuts SEEMORE Motion+AI Equine MRI Software

Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging has launched SEEMORE, a software upgrade for standing equine MRI designed to address the two persistent challenges of patient movement and scan time. Announced on 31 August 2026, the release combines advanced motion correction technology and AI-based image denoising to enable higher diagnostic quality across the entire limb, particularly in the notoriously challenging proximal and high-motion areas, alongside 50-75% scan time reductions.

SEEMORE’s first component, iNAV, uses advanced motion correction technology to track the position of the horse’s limb three times per second during scan acquisition, particularly useful for imaging the fetlock, tarsus, carpus and high suspensory ligament. The second component, pAIce, applies AI denoising algorithms to remove image noise while maintaining resolution and contrast, enabling scan time reductions of 50 to 75%. The combined effect delivers less time under sedation for equine patients, improved practice efficiency and additional motion reduction, since faster scans inherently limit movement artefact windows.

 

Steve Roberts, chief technology officer at Hallmarq, positioned SEEMORE as opening a much wider range of equine cases for standing MRI, including cases previously overlooked as unsuitable for the modality. Existing Hallmarq customers receive SEEMORE as part of the firm’s Q-Care support package, with the company encouraging clinicians to broaden case selection and consider a wider range of equine patients. The launch strengthens Hallmarq’s dominant position in the standing equine MRI category, where competitors including GE HealthCare, Esaote and other veterinary imaging suppliers offer alternative imaging modalities and general veterinary MRI platforms.

The commercial signal is a maturing veterinary imaging AI category where motion correction and AI denoising combine to unlock previously untenable procedural volumes. Recent adjacencies including Texas A&M’s canine cardiology AI and UC Davis AR glasses suggest broader veterinary AI momentum. Expect GE HealthCare, Esaote and other veterinary imaging suppliers to sharpen their motion correction and AI-driven capabilities through the rest of 2026 and 2027.
