Hanover appoints new associate director

Hanover has announced the appointment of Richard Sloggett as its new associate director, offering strategic advice and support to its healthcare, pharmaceutical and life science sector clients.

Mr Sloggett joins the agency from MHP Health and can boast eight years of experience in political communications and public affairs, with four years specialising in healthcare, reports Pharmafile.

He has previously worked with clients to deliver disease awareness campaigns, developed strategies to communicate value propositions and created evidence for policy change.

The new recruit began his career serving under Conservative MP and foreign secretary Philip Hammond, who was employed as shadow secretary of state for work and pensions at that time.

Andrew Harrison, director of global healthcare at Hanover, said: "This is an exciting time for Hanover, as we aim to maintain our recent record level of growth by continuing to develop and strengthen our expertise across the business."

This comes after the firm was hired by pharmaceutical company Shire last month to help support its activity in rare diseases policy across the UK.
