Henry Schein adds three new Dentrix scanning partners

Henry Schein has announced that three new scanning partners have become members of its Dentrix developer programme.

The Planmeca PlanScan Scanner, 3Shape Trios and 3M True Definition Scanner are now compatible with the Dentrix platform, allowing these systems to be integrated with the Dentrix practice management software via the Digital Dental Exchange (DDX) operating system.

DDX is a web-based service that enables practitioners to quickly and efficiently exchange and manage casework with a laboratory partner, and will allow users of the three scanners to place a record of their intraoral scans into patients' charts in the Dentrix system.

The company will be showcasing these new offerings at the forthcoming Greater New York Dental Meeting, which takes place from November 27th to 30th.

Tim Sullivan, president of Henry Schein's North American dental group, said the meeting will offer "an opportunity for Henry Schein and our partners to demonstrate how we continue to innovate by enhancing the interoperability of products and practice management software to help practitioners connect all things digital".
