Henry Schein appoints finance and administration director

Henry Schein has appointed Kevin Tomossonie as its new director of finance and administration.

The finance and accounting expert joins the dental services provider’s corporate business development unit after accruing extensive experience at firms such as Ernst and Young, where he worked with a number of corporate clients, reports DentistryiQ.

His most recent position, meanwhile, was at restructuring advisory firm Zolfo Cooper.

In his new role at Henry Schein, Mr Tomossonie will act as the liaison between the company’s finance and corporate business development group.

He will be responsible for coordinating due diligence activity for mergers and acquisitions in which Henry Schein is involved.

Last month, the company published its financial report for the first quarter of 2010, highlighting double-digit year-on-year growth in terms of net sales.

Strong sales of dental products played a key role in this, with demand for dental equipment and consumable merchandise on the rise globally.
