11th June 2014

Henry Schein has announced the appointment of Professor Dr Dianne Rekow to its board of directors in order to benefit from her extensive dental industry experience.

Dr Rekow is the dean of King's College London Dental Institute and a professor of orthodontics at the prestigious facility. She can offer expertise on dental products, practices and education, as well as insights into global trends influencing the evolution of the dental profession.

She formerly spent a decade as a professor of orthodontics at New York University and has occupied senior roles at multiple dental and scientific associations. Moreover, she is an internationally recognised authority on the performance of new materials and products for use in aesthetic and restorative dentistry.

Dr Rekow holds a number of patents in the dental field and has authored or contributed to more than 100 publications.

Stanley Bergman, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, said: "In a global dental environment that is quickly evolving through the power of digital technology, we are very pleased to welcome Dr Rekow to the Henry Schein board of directors."

Earlier this month, the company announced that it has risen to 292nd place in the 2014 Fortune 500 rankings, up four places from last year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801727507-ADNFCR
