Henry Schein CEO earns honorary doctorate for social commitment

Henry Schein's chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) Stanley Bergman has received an honorary doctorate that recognises his commitment to social improvement.

Mr Bergman was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland this week for his inspirational leadership and work to promote social responsibility through Henry Schein.

This includes the efforts made by Henry Schein Cares, the company's global corporate social responsibility programme, and the firm's achievements in advancing the corporate and personal ideal of giving back to communities across the globe.

Mr Bergman said: "It is deeply gratifying to receive such prestigious recognition for our company's commitment to doing well by doing good, which has enabled us to give back by increasing access to care for underserved and at-risk communities around the world."

In addition to this, the Henry Schein CEO has an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from AT Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health and honorary fellowships from King's College London and the International College of Dentistry.
