Henry Schein to provide product donation to support care for refugees

Henry Schein has announced that it will be providing a donation of products to support care for refugees in areas of critical need worldwide.

A total of $350,000 (236,100 pounds) in Henry Schein-branded healthcare products will be provided to World Vision for distribution via its local partner organisations. Beneficiaries will include Syrian refugees living in Europe and the Middle East.

The donation includes 70 units of Henry Schein-branded gloves, masks, gowns and gauze, designed to serve approximately 7,500 people, over the next three years. World Vision will determines those deemed to be in greatest need, such as people in refugee camps or communities with large populations of displaced people.

Stanley Bergman, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, said: "World Vision shares Henry Schein's commitment to helping health happen, and we are proud to partner with an organisation that is guided by principles that so closely mirror our own."
