Henry Schein’s Irish Angels prepare meal for families with sick children

8th September 2015

Henry Schein has hailed the work of its Irish Angels team in helping to provide food for families with sick children in Dublin.

The Irish branch of the Henry's Angels volunteer group recently prepared an evening meal for 35 people at the Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodation for families whose children are undergoing treatment at Our Lady's Children’s Hospital.

Ingredients for the meal were supplied entirely by the six Irish Angels, with the Walkinstown neighbourhood's SuperValu supermarket agreeing to provide the beef used to make the main dish at half price.

Maureen Hamilton, executive assistant to the managing director at Henry Schein Ireland, said: "The families we helped truly appreciated our support, and we look forward to making more nutritious meals for families whose children are being cared for at Our Lady's and other hospitals in the future."

Henry’s Angels was formed in January 2011 at Henry Schein UK's headquarters in Gillingham, as a means of coordinating volunteer work involving staff members wishing to give something back to the local community.

Local Henry's Angels are active at Henry Schein locations in Cardiff, Gillingham and Ilkley, as well as Ireland.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801799936-ADNFCR
