Heraeus Kulzer study shows benefits of Venus Diamond and Pearl
Heraeus Kulzer has reported data from new studies that underline the proven benefits of its Venus Diamond and Venus Pearl dental composites.
The University of Regensburg conducted a study analysing the flexural strength of different restorative composites after various ageing conditions, while another compared the fracture toughness of different nano-hybrid composites.
In both trials, the Venus Pearl composite showed the highest values in flexural strength and the highest fracture toughness. Meanwhile, in a third trial investigating the shrinkage stress behaviour of different composites, Venus Diamond and Pearl belonged to the group exhibiting the lowest level of stress of all tested materials.
The company said: "The Venus composites are not only highly satisfying at an aesthetic level, they are also convincing by means of their clinically relevant mechanical properties."
This comes after studies from the University of Brescia last month demonstrated the Venus Diamond and Venus Diamond Flow composites' excellent clinical outcomes, good handling and polishing abilities.
