Heraeus Kulzer’s Venus Diamond composites show benefits in studies
Heraeus Kulzer has highlighted data from recent studies that demonstrates the well-documented effectiveness of its Venus Diamond and Venus Diamond Flow composites.
In a recent five-year clinical evaluation of class III and class IV restorations with Venus Diamond at the University of Brescia, the product exhibited excellent clinical outcomes and particularly good handling and polishing abilities.
Meanwhile, the aesthetic perception of Venus Diamond received top ratings in comparison with a competitive product after 24 months in a split mouth design study in anterior teeth, resulting in high levels of patient satisfaction.
In addition, the Venus Diamond Flow composite exhibited excellent clinical results in a three-year clinical evaluation of class V restorations with two different composites, receiving a 100 percent patient satisfaction rate after three years when used in combination with iBOND Total Etch.
The manufacturer observed: "Composites coming from the Heraeus Kulzer laboratories are not only constantly submitted to scientific studies, they also regularly lead the rating lists."
This comes after the firm expanded its product portfolio last month with the launch of a new alginate substitute called xantasil, for use in taking dental impressions.
