Hill and Knowlton names new head of medical knowledge group
Hill and Knowlton Strategies has named Dr Stuart Baker as the new head of its medical knowledge group, providing overall business direction and leadership to the unit.
Dr Baker has more than 15 years' experience developing and implementing communications for a range of clients in the healthcare industry, and rejoins the agency after seven years with Zest Healthcare Communications.
In his new role, he will be tasked with managing key global client relationships, providing strategic counsel and driving new business generation, leveraging his experience of handling medical education, patient support initiatives and healthcare digital platforms.
Dr Baker has previously helped to create a chronic myeloid leukaemia support service, implemented a nationwide contraceptive awareness campaign and developed an online scheme to help colorectal cancer patients to access a subsidised drug access programme.
Sue Cook, managing director for healthcare at Hill and Knowlton Strategies and the medical Knowledge Group, said: "We are delighted to have Stuart leading our medical education business, with his track record of impactful and creative medical communications, combined with scientific insight and business strategy."
The company also recently appointed Dr Bettina Seri as the medical education team's new associate editorial director.
