Hill-Rom hails strength of third quarter fiscal results

4th August 2010

Hill-Rom has published its financial report for the third quarter of its 2010 fiscal year, expressing satisfaction with the improvements shown compared to the corresponding period of 2009.

The medical technology firm’s revenues grew by eight per cent year-on-year to a total of $361 million (226.4 million pounds), while adjusted earnings per share swelled by 80 per cent.

This was in excess of the company’s projections, with strong growth noted in its international and surgical business unit following good sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa region.

In addition, the company was able to achieve improved margins and cash flow during the period, as well as successfully launching its Hill-Rom 900 bed in Europe.

John Greisch, president and chief executive officer of Hill-Rom, said: “In addition to solid revenue growth, we are encouraged with the success of our continued focus on margin expansion.”

Last month, Hill-Rom was presented with the US-based Premier healthcare alliance’s Polaris Award, honouring its dedication to customer service and clinical outcomes.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800012554-ADNFCR
