Hill-Rom launches new therapy surface product

4th October 2010

Hill-Rom has launched a new therapy surface which makes it easier for caregivers to effectively and safely treat patients.

The Hill-Rom P500 Therapy Surface has been designed to be compatible with a majority of flat deck bed systems and includes a number of features that help to improve patient safety.

It is able to support weights of up to 500 lb and is constructed using a shear-resistant material that protects the skin, while also utilising Nano Ag Plus technology to eliminate staining and bacteria.

Moreover, its Turn Assist and various in-built alarm applications make it easier for the healthcare professional to interact with and monitor the patient.

Mary Butler, vice-president for global product management at Hill-Rom, said: "This surface [is] a perfect option for purchase with new beds, as a replacement surface for existing beds or as a therapy surface that can be rented."

Last month, the company announced the appointment of Scott Jeffers as senior vice-president for its global supply chain, replacing Mark Baron.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800097040-ADNFCR
