Hill-Rom names new chief financial officer
Hill-Rom has announced the appointment of James Saccaro as its new senior vice-president and chief financial officer (CFO), effective as of December 30th 2013.
Mr Saccaro is a Stanford University graduate who joins the company from fellow healthcare company Baxter, where he has occupied a series of increasingly senior roles over the course of an 11-year career.
He most recently served as vice-president and global franchise head of specialty pharmaceuticals at Baxter, while prior to this was employed as corporate vice-president and treasurer and vice-president of finance for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Hill-Rom believes Mr Saccaro will help the firm to pursue its growth strategy and deliver value for shareholders.
John Greisch, president and chief executive officer at Hill-Rom, said: "Jay brings to Hill-Rom a proven record of delivering strong financial and operating results and extensive experience leading global healthcare teams."
The firm's previous permanent CFO Mark Guinan departed during the summer, with vice-president and treasurer Michael Macek filling the role on an interim basis since then.
