Hill-Rom reports growth in first quarter of 2012
Hill-Rom has published its preliminary financial results for the first quarter of its 2012 fiscal year, a period marked by slight revenue growth for the company.
The firm expects to report a quarterly revenue figure of around $381 million (247.76 million pounds) for the period, which would represent a year-on-year increase of two percent.
This rise was driven by the performance of its North American acute care division, which helped to offset declines in other units.
Hill-Rom also predicted that full-year constant currency revenue growth will fall between three and four percent, which takes into account the ongoing uncertainty affecting the global economy.
John Greisch, president and chief executive officer of Hill-Rom, said: "We are confident in our ability to deliver our revised guidance for the year and will continue to aggressively manage our cost structure to mitigate the impact of lower projected revenues."
This follows the announcement that the company will be acquiring fellow medical technology organisation Volker last month.
