Hill-Rom unveils enhancements to Welch Allyn Connex vital signs monitoring portfolio
Hill-Rom has unveiled the changes that are being made to its Welch Allyn Connex vital signs monitoring portfolio.
New workflow efficiency and security features are being added so they can integrate secure access technology from healthcare IT security company Imprivata.
This will enable greater protection of patient data that is stored on Connex devices used in EMR-connected workflows.
Furthermore, it should give clinicians a faster and easier means of accessing or updating patient data.
Alton Shader, president of Hill-Rom's Front Line Care business, commented: "This integration illustrates our focus on protecting areas that are critical in healthcare today: patient privacy, data integrity and nurses' time. "
He said the company's collaboration with Imprivata will help it deliver a simpler user experience for clinicians, as well as meet the security requirements that healthcare organisations demand.
Mr Shader added that Hill-Rom is "excited" to further improve connected workflows for its customers with the Connex vitals monitoring portfolio.
