Hill+Knowlton hires Chris Gibbs for tech team
Hill+Knowlton Strategies has hired Chris Gibbs to join its tech team as an associate director, as the firm looks to bolster the division under the leadership of Charlie Morgan.
Mr Gibbs was employed by Waggener Edstrom for four years and prior to this worked for Weber Shandwick for five years. He has worked with a wide range of brands across consumer tech, including Microsoft, Toshiba, Hitachi, Philips and Adobe, according to PRWeek.
Since Ms Morgan assumed her leading role at Hill+Knowlton, there have been four new hires including Mr Gibbs. Account managers Rachel Magson, Neil Thomas and Joe McNamara have also been appointed to the tech team.
“Chris is an excellent communications practitioner and his extensive experience and knowledge of the technology sector will enable him to provide invaluable strategic counsel to our clients,” Ms Morgan commented.
Mr Gibbs said his new team has an enviable portfolio of clients and he’s looking forward to working for the firm.
He added that he is “genuinely excited” by Hill+Knowlton’s approach to PR, which he describes as combining traditional media and influencer relations with a content and publishing-led method.
