Hologic announces new imaging technology partnership with Philips

Hologic has announced a new collaboration with Philips that will see the companies working together to deliver integrated imaging solutions for women's health.

The global partnership agreement will combine Hologic's mammography technologies with Philips' portfolio of ultrasound, MRI, CT and X-ray systems, as well as its advanced informatics capabilities and broad range of services.

Under the agreement, Philips will offer select products from Hologic's breast health portfolio as part of multimodality deals for hospitals and health systems, including the new 3Dimensions mammography system.

The multi-year, non-exclusive global partnership agreement allows for customised regional implementation to best meet the individual needs of each customer.

Pete Valenti, Hologic's division president for breast and skeletal health solutions, said: "Through the partnership, Hologic can join Philips when engaging with customers on projects that were not previously possible for the two companies alone. It's a win for everyone involved, including the customers and patients we serve."
