Horiba inaugurates new research centre in Paris

16th November 2012

Horiba has announced the official inauguration of its new 7,500 sq m European research centre near Paris

The new facility will act as the company's European headquarters and is set to house a number of its local activities, including its Horiba Jobin Yvon operations, its specialised biophotonics team and part of its medical sales group.

Located close to the renowned Ecole Polytechnique campus, the centre is being opened at a time when Horiba is seeking to expand its collaborative work with academic institutions.

Other objectives include helping the Horiba Jobin Yvon group to build on its export business, with more than 85 percent of its turnover currently generated through international trade.

The company said the site launch will also facilitate "open collaboration with the French techno providers and to open opportunities for small innovative high-tech companies to enter the Japanese market".

Last month, the firm expanded its product range with the launch of LabRAM HR Evolution, the latest Raman spectrometer to be added to its portfolio.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801489531-ADNFCR
