Horiba launches HaemCell haematology package

28th November 2011

Horiba has announced the UK launch of a new customisable haematology package called HaemCell for use in laboratory and point-of-care settings.

The fully integrated solution facilitates the entire haematology process and comprises five different elements, including automated analysers, testing products, computer-assisted microscopy and the ABX Pentra ML data manager.

It is designed to be tailored to meet specific requirements to cost-effectively provide automated clinical analysis, data management and customer support applications, with the aim of supporting decision-making and improving outcomes.

Cleve Wright, UK manager for Horiba, said the new offering has been created using feedback from clients and will offer benefits for customers within the NHS and private sectors.

"We've created HaemCell to provide automated clinical analysis, data management and customer support services within one fully customisable package, to result in a completely cohesive, cost-effective haematology solution," he said.

In September 2011, the company announced the commencement of construction work on its new facility in the Paris Saclay cluster, which will act as Horiba's European headquarters when completed.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801223252-ADNFCR
