Horiba launches SPRi-Plex II for biomolecular analysis

Horiba Scientific has launched a new version of its SPRi-Plex biomolecule analysis system, which is designed to be faster and more versatile than its predecessor.

The Horiba SPRi-Plex II uses an enhanced version of the system’s Surface Plasmon Resonance imaging technology to produce results that are more sensitive and quickly multiplexed, allowing for different parameters to be compared at the same time.

It is also designed to offer more automation than its predecessor, allowing longer experiments to be conducted with limited operator input.

Horiba states that these advantages make the system ideal for those conducting experiments involving proteins, peptides, carbohydrates, DNA, RNA or single cells.

It said: “The new SPRi-Plex II from Horiba Scientific revolutionises the way researchers and analysts are able to utilise label free bio-affinity analyses.”

Earlier this month, the science company launched its new ABX Micros ES60 unit, which is optimised to deliver fast and efficient haematology results.
