Horiba Medical to distribute scil veterinary diagnostic systems in UK

Horiba Medical has agreed a deal with animal care company scil to distribute its range of veterinary diagnostic systems in the UK market.

The arrangement will see Horiba Medical take responsibility for providing the scil Vet abc Plus and scil Reflovet Plus blood analysers to British veterinarians, as well as providing expert services and support.

This is a continuation of a long-standing partnership between the two companies, with Horiba Medical having assisted in the manufacturing of many of the products it will now be selling.

Cleve Wright, UK manager at Horiba Medical, said its expertise in the fields of chemistry and haematology makes it well-positioned to offer services to the animal care sector.

He added: “It is a pleasure to now be able to provide UK vet customers with the added benefit of direct service from our experienced sales and support team.”

Earlier this month, the company launched the ABX Micros ES60, a new haematology analyser which is designed to operate faster and offer more intuitive controls.
