Iams: Over 1.2 million animals’ lives saved
Iams has announced its Home 4 the Holidays scheme has saved the lives of more than 1.2 million animals.
Taking place over three months, the project saw 1,202,751 dogs and cats homed from October 1st last year to January 5th 2009.
The company says the project has saved the lives of more than three million animals since its inauguration.
It went on to note the scheme has seen 17 countries participating and included the rehoming of rabbits, reptiles and birds among other animals.
Ambassador Felicity Huffman said she was “honoured” to be part of the cause.
She added: “It’s amazing to think of the impact we’ve made on the lives of so many pets.”
Vice-president and general manager of the North American subsidiary of Procter & Gamble Pet Care Dan Rajczak said: “Year after year, more pet adoption organisations join our mission to save the lives of orphaned pets.”
Along with Iams, Procter & Gamble’s brands include Pampers, Ariel, Always, Pantene and Bounty.
The company currently employs 138,000 people in over 80 countries around the world.
