Iams promotes its ProActive Health formula for Christmas

Iams has pointed out the benefits of using its ProActive Health formula this festive season.

The firm is reminding animal owners that the festive season can lead to weight gain in their cats and dogs – something that can be counteracted by using the company’s tailored formula.

It includes prebiotics that work inside the digestive system and is also a source of fibre and fructooligosaccharide – a prebiotic that enhances the good bacteria present in the digestive tract of pets, the company states.

Mabeatriz Rodriguez, general manager of Procter and Gamble Pet Care, commented: “We continually enhance our formulas to provide pet parents peace of mind knowing that their dog or kitty is getting the nutrition they need.”

Meanwhile, Iams revealed in September that the face of its Home for the Holidays campaign is actress Hilary Swank.

The drive promotes the adoption of pets and aims to find homes for 1.5 million animals in shelters between October 1st 2009 and January 4th 2010.
