Idexx Laboratories launches Real-Time Care workflow consultations

Idexx Laboratories has announced the introduction of a new service that will provide animal health clinics with guidance on how to improve productivity.

The company's new Real-Time Care workflow consultations service has been piloted in the US, with trained consultants offering feedback and suggested processes to streamline the clinical workflow.

Staff from clinics confer with experts from Idexx on hospital goals, identifying areas of opportunity within the current workflow, before Idexx summarises the findings in a report that offers multiple solutions.

The aim of the service is to assist veterinarians in eliminating inefficiency so they can concentrate on providing a higher standard of patient care, while also helping to enhance working conditions and job satisfaction.

Hilda Sastre, Idexx Real-Time Care workflow consultant, said: "Sometimes very small changes in procedures or habits can create great time savings for staff and clients."

Last month, the company introduced its new Cornerstone 8.2 practice management software, which will help to provide further efficiency improvements for veterinary clinics.
