Idexx Laboratories names new general counsel and secretary

Idexx Laboratories has announced the appointment of legal expert Jacqueline Studer as its new corporate vice-president, general counsel and secretary.

Ms Studer, who joined the company in June 2014, will lead the organisation's legal, compliance, regulatory affairs and quality assurance groups, leveraging her extensive experience in building and leading legal functions to support high-growth technology companies.

Prior to her time with Idexx, she served as general counsel at Blue Health Intelligence, a healthcare data and analytics company. She has also previously been employed in a variety of key roles at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions and GE Healthcare.

Jonathan Ayers, chairman and chief executive officer of Idexx, said: "Jackie comes to us as a proven leader with exceptional experience as a lawyer and business executive. She will be an important leader in supporting Idexx's growth."

Next week, the company will be holding its Idexx Information Management Conference in Atlanta, offering information on its Cornerstone and DVMAX practice management software.
